Sandy Springs City Council member Melissa Mular received the Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute Certificate of Recognition during the Georgia Municipal Association’s (GMA) Annual Convention in Savannah on June 23.
The Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute, a cooperative effort of GMA and the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government, provides a nationally recognized series of training opportunities for city officials, according to a news release.
To receive a certificate, 42 hours of training must be completed, including at least 18 hours from the required list and the Newly Elected Officials Institute. The program consists of more than 80 courses.
“The importance of continuous learning has been a pillar of my business acumen throughout my professional career, and I have continued to expand my knowledge base for the service for our community,” Mular said.
