Live on a cruise ship, travel the world for $30,000 a year
Have you ever dreamed of traveling the world, but felt hindered by real-life obligations and financial responsibilities?
If so, here’s an opportunity to make that dream a reality – for a few years, at least – all while being able to work remotely.
For a period of three years, ‘Life at Sea’ Cruises is providing an option for explorers and wanderers to journey and reside aboard a cruise ship.
This program encompasses visits to 375 ports in 135 different countries, resulting in over 130,000 nautical miles of oceanic travel.
Where will Life at Sea Cruise travel?
The company pledges to check off a total of 375 ports worldwide, spanning across 135 countries and all seven continents.
Throughout the three-year duration, the cruise ship will navigate more than 130,000 miles, allowing travelers to experience prominent landmarks including the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, the Taj Mahal in India, Chichen Itza in Mexico, the pyramids of Giza, Machu Picchu, and the Great Wall of China.
Furthermore, itineraries include excursions to 103 “tropical islands.” Out of the 375 ports, 208 of them will offer overnight stays, providing ample time to explore the destinations.
What amenities does Life at Sea cruise offer?
The MV Gemini is slated for renovation in preparation for the voyage, boasting 400 cabins that can accommodate up to 1,074 passengers.
As a result of the unique nature of the journey, in addition to typical cruise ship amenities such as restaurants and entertainment, the Gemini will also be outfitted with remote work facilities.
The company guarantees access to a comprehensive business center, which includes meeting rooms, 14 offices, a business library, and a lounge – perfect for taking mid-shift coffee breaks. Utilizing these amenities comes at no extra cost.
Moreover, a medical facility will be available around the clock, with free medical consultations provided. The company also suggests the possibility of further tax advantages while working as an international resident aboard the vessel.
What is the cost of the voyage?
The extravagant three-year commitment comes with a price tag of $29,999 per year, totaling around $90,000 overall. Fortunately, payment does not have to be made in a lump sum.
According to a company news release, Life at Sea Cruises provides all-inclusive payment options that start from $2,499 per month.
Seafarers can select from cabins ranging from 130 square feet and will have the option of enjoying either a virtual inside view or an ocean view stateroom, as well as the choice of balcony suite options.
For those voyagers who intend to work to cover the monthly cabin rent, the ship offers 14 office spaces in addition to a business center, meeting rooms, and a business library.
Furthermore, those who plan to work while aboard the MV Gemini can take advantage of additional tax benefits as an international resident aboard the ship.
When will Life at Sea Cruise bookings open?
Bookings are now available for the three-year journey aboard the MV Gemini by Life at Sea Cruises, departing from Istanbul on November 1st.
To prepare for the voyage, which commences on November 1st, 2023, interested parties have eight months to obtain their passports, vaccinations, and remote work capabilities.
