Jeep’s priciest Wrangler SUV ever is here, priced at $115,500

Jeep unveiled its costliest Wrangler SUV to date on Thursday, with a price tag of over $115,000. 

The limited-edition vehicle, called the 2023 Wrangler Rubicon 392 20th Anniversary, is customized by American Expedition Vehicles and will only have 150 units produced as part of the 20th Anniversary collection of the popular Rubicon model. 

“We’re testing a different level for sure but the aftermarket is doing that now,” Jim Morrison, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America, told CNBC during an interview at the Chicago Auto Show. 

“Capability is the king for Wrangler, and we’re seeing it happening a lot more and we’re happy to be a part of it.”

The 2023 Wrangler Rubicon 392 20th Anniversary is powered by a V8 engine with 470 horsepower and 470 pounds-feet of torque and can reach 0-60 mph in approximately 4.5 seconds. 

It features 37-inch tires and off-road equipment, such as lights, bumpers, shocks, and more, for navigating rough terrain. 

The base model, without the off-roading customization, starts at $94,485, while the plug-in hybrid electric version starts at $71,380.

All pricing includes mandatory logistics and destination fees. 

The 20th Anniversary Rubicon models come with special styling, badging, a seven-slot grille, beadlock-capable wheels, and an 83-piece tool kit. 

Recently, automakers like Stellantis, the parent company of Jeep, have been exploring their pricing capabilities in the market for high-end and specially-designed models. 

Jeep owners, in particular, have a reputation for enhancing their SUVs with a wide array of aftermarket accessories. 

The 2023 Wrangler Rubicon 392 20th Anniversary is a limited-edition vehicle that features customized heavy-duty off-road parts from American Expedition Vehicles.

Ordering for the vehicles begins later this month and they are expected to be available in Jeep dealerships during the second quarter.
