Horror in Sharjah: Autopsy findings released police after man kills wife and daughters before taking his own life

On Thursday, the preliminary autopsy report on the suicide-murder case from Tuesday (March 28) was released by Sharjah Police.

A 35-year-old Indian man jumped from a residential building in Sharjah, leaving a letter confessing to killing his wife and children before taking his own life.

The forensic investigation revealed that the husband had poisoned his wife, while his two daughters, aged between 3 and 7, showed strangulation marks on their necks. The wife and children’s bodies displayed no signs of violence or resistance.

The Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, confirmed that the man was a Sharjah resident working in a neighboring emirate.

The investigation found no motives or financial crises that led to the incident. The authorities are still investigating to determine the motive behind the man’s actions.

On Tuesday at 5:45 pm, the Central Operations Room received a report of a fall from one of the towers in the Al Majaz area.

Initial assumptions were that it was a tragic fall, but the police discovered a note on the man that read, “I killed my wife and two daughters while they were inside the apartment.”

The search team broke down the door to the apartment with permission from the Public Prosecution, where they found the bodies of the wife and daughters.

The police are currently questioning a friend of the wife at the Buhaira Comprehensive Police Station to obtain more information.

The investigation report will be handed over to the Public Prosecution, after which the bodies of the woman and her daughters will be repatriated. The reason behind the crime has not yet been disclosed.
